MPA is a non-profit organization comprised of professional’s in the childcare and other businesses, who volunteer their time and expertise to facilitate educational events and issue publications, which promote universal quality childcare.
MPA believes that quality childcare is accomplished through the continuing education of the childcare provider.
MPA is dedicated to the promotion of quality childcare through education.
MPA in cooperation with other childcare and early childhood educational organizations, sponsor annual statewide and regional conferences and trainings for the family childcare provider. Trainings include child development, child management, curriculum and business practices. They also provide opportunities for networking with others who work with young children and allows for professional development and growth.
MPA Membership Information: MPA offers two levels of membership
1. Basic– Individual member 2. Enhanced– Individual membership that allows for up to three training registrations at member discount rate

MPA Sponsored Annual Regional Trainings · Offers the provider the opportunity to fulfill state required licensing/registration training hours. · Offers the opportunity to enroll for Continuing Education Credits (CEU’s) through Michigan State University.
MPA Supports CDA and NAFCC Accreditation · CDA and NAFCC Accreditation are national recognition given to family child care providers who meet national standards of quality. These programs promote excellence in home based childcare. Area’s of study include provider professionalism, indoor and outdoor environment, curriculum, health and safety, nutrition and staff issues if applicable.
Both CDA and NAFCC Accreditation standards exceed Michigan Licensing requirements.
